Laser scanning

The most modern form of spatial data collection is 3D Laser Scanning.

The scanner can map its environment by measuring tens of millions of points in a few minutes, resulting in a colourful point cloud with a 360-degree panoramic image. These can then be used to model any element of the built environment in 3D virtual space and use it for different purposes.

  • Survey of buildings for further planning, to record as-built status, etc.
  • Survey of building services systems to support design, preparation of implementation plans
  • Survey of cable trays for electrical systems
